Laser sensors with communication protocols

Laser Technology’s TruSense S-210 and S-230 laser sensors are equipped with an alignment laser, making precise targeting quick and easy during setup and have a variety of communications outputs including event triggering, SDI-12, 4-20, and 4-20 HART as well as a 200-Hz mode that commands the sensors to send pulses at a much higher frequency rate.

Laser Technology Inc. (LTI) announces the release of two new laser sensors, the TruSense S-210 and S-230, expanding its already versatile TruSense S-series product line. The current S-series sensors represent a significant breakthrough in laser sensor pricing and performance. LTI’s laser sensors are noncontact and reflectorless, which means they do not require highly reflective material to acquire a measurement.

The TruSense S-210 and S-230 are equipped with an alignment laser, making precise targeting quick and easy during setup. Both models have a variety of communications outputs including event triggering, SDI-12, 4-20, and 4-20 HART. They also include a 200Hz mode that commands the sensors to send pulses at a much higher frequency rate, allowing them to capture data on moving targets with higher accuracy.

The TruSense S-230 replaces the trigger mode of the S-200/S-210 with a 4-20 and 4-20 HART output, supporting the two top communication protocols used by industrial control equipment. Accessories include mounting brackets and a ruggedized enclosure that allows the sensors to be installed in volatile environments with its Class 1, Division 1 rating.
