Curtiss-Wright’s NRH300DP non-contact, rotary position sensor is designed as a solution for medium volume applications and challenging environments for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). It has an 8mm sensor body and a small footprint and is IP68/IP69K-rated. The NRH300DP is designed to perform in harsh conditions such as water, dust, shock, vibration and temperature. The NRH300DP can be set to correspond to rotations of 20- to 360-deg in 1-deg increments and it has on-board diagnostic functions that allow the two outputs to be put into safe, pre-defined states should an internal sensor error be detected. Additonal features include a circuit design that allows the rotary position sensor to be powered from a regulated 5 V supply or a varying voltage ranging from 9 to 30 V. The NRH300DP also features a number of magnet arrangement options, and includes an over-molded magnet carrier designed to simply the magnet and sensor interface. Optional bolt, plug or loose carrier variations are also available.
