Panasonic’s KT.R series of temperature controllers—KT4R, KT8R, and KT9R—are available in three DIN formats: 48×48, 48×96, and 96x96mm, respectively. The temperature controller is ready for operation once the initial configuration of control values has been completed. Frequently used and frequently changed settings can be adjusted and all required operations can be set with the buttons on the front of the display. The built-in auto-tuning function uses the step-response method and it can calculate the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) constants from the temperature rise behavior alone. It can also calculate constants when auto tuning cannot be used to generate them. The PID control mode ensures an input span of ±0.2%. Other features include a large display for improved visibility, multi-input sensors, IP66 protection, 5-digit PV/SV LCD display, an RS485 communication interface, and UL/c-UL standard and CE marking.
