In today's competitive business environment, companies are facing challenges in dealing with big data issues for rapid decision making for improved productivity. Many manufacturing systems are not ready to manage big data due to the lack of smart analytics tools. As more predictive analytics software and embedded IIoT software are integrated in industrial products and systems, predictive technologies can predict performance degradation and autonomously manage and optimize product service needs.

The July 21 Industrial Internet of Things webcast presentation will look at the trends of predictive big data analytics as well as the readiness of smart predictive tools to manage industrial big data to achieve productivity and resilient product life cycle management with improved service value.

The presentation will include:

  • The issue of industrial competitiveness between the U.S., Germany, China, and Japan.
  • How Cyber-Physical System enable product manufacturing and services.
  • A look at advanced predictive analytics technologies for smart maintenance and manufacturing systems with case studies will be presented.

Dr. Jay LeePresenter:
Dr. Jay Lee is Ohio Eminent Scholar, L.W. Scott Alter Chair Professor, and Distinguished University Professor at the University of Cincinnati. He is the founding director of the National Science Foundation's Industry/University Cooperative Research Center. Since its inception in 2001, the Center has been supported by more than 80 global companies in 15 countries. Dr. Lee holds more than 20 patents and trademarks. He is a frequently invited speaker and has delivered over 180 invited keynote and plenary speeches at major international conferences. He is a Fellow of ASME, SME, as well as a founding fellow of International Society of Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM).

lloT webcast two: Operations

Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. PDT/1 p.m. CDT/2 p.m. EDT
One (1) RCEP / ACEC Certified Professional Development Hour (PDH) available for all attendees.

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) can help manufacturers make their right decisions with the right information at the right time. This is accomplished through the use of cloud-based computing, mobility and digital manufacturing tools. These tools can deliver a more intelligent flow of information to manufacturing and process control professionals. The webcast also will discuss the standards and networking tools needed to effectively support these operational improvements.
