Solid-state contactors for motor control applications

Phoenix Contact adds reversing, non-reversing contactors in a variety of amperages to an expanding family of solid-state contactors.

Phoenix CONTACTRON solid-state contactorsPhoenix Contact’s Contactron family of solid-state contactors now includes reversing and non-reversing contactors in a variety of amperages. The contactors can activate or reverse 1- to 18.5 kW-powered motors without wear or noise.

The contactors are available in 2 amp, 9 amp, 15 amp and 37 amp versions, either reversing or non-reversing, Phoenix Contact said. Each is available with either 19.2 to 30 V dc or 96 to 253 V ac control options. Built-in heat sinks are standard. The contactors feature short and stable switching times, high switching frequency, integrated interlock wiring. Integrated surge protection increases system reliability.
