Evans Manufacturing is an Illinois maker of cylindrical steel parts for equipment.
“They’re all the same shape. They’re round with a hole in the middle,” said the company president.
By studying new techniques suggested by the Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center to improve set-up times and improve throughput, they’ve been able to contact costs and win business from China and India.
