Acoustic curtain walls

Reducing excessive noise within virtually any industrial, commercial and institutional facility is manageable with sound-absorbing SZ Acoustic Curtain Walls from Zoneworks. Zoneworks SZ Acoustic Curtain Walls can reduce noise levels inside buildings by up to 22-25 decibels, making a space approximately four times quieter than it would be without them depending on existing noise frequency levels. The modular and highly flexible walls can be designed to custom-fit nearly any existing space – without having to invest in costly permanent walls that would otherwise be needed to address bothersome and potentially harmful noise levels.

Material dispenser

The Ultra-Dispenser from UltraTech International, Inc. is a storing and dispensing container for absorbents, rock salt, and other granular products. The heavy-duty steel construction provides years of service and the easy operation dispensing gate eliminates waste of contents. The 50-lb model is available on a wheeled cart with an optional shovel kit. The wall-mount model holds up to 25 lbs and can be installed almost anywhere. Both Ultra-Dispenser models feature sloped interiors to channel the contents to the dispensing gate.

Dust and fume collectors

The Torit PowerCore TG Series is a line of dust and fume collectors from Donaldson Torit. This line of collectors was specifically designed for thermally generated dust and fume. The Torit PowerCore TG Series comes with a footprint up to 65 percent smaller than average and offers the widest range of packaged units up to 10,000 cfm. The Torit PowerCore TG Series is an ideal filtration solution for welding, thermal spray, laser and plasma cutting applications. The Torit PowerCore TG Series' strong and sleek all-welded housing is the ideal fit as a stand-alone collector on the plant floor or integrated into an OEM design.

Weld fume collectors

The W Series line of weld fume collectors from United Air Specialists, Inc., available in portable (WP model) and wall-mount (WS model) configurations, effectively capture weld fumes at the source of welding processes. Both the WP and WS models use obstruction-free extraction arms to draw in weld fume at the point of generation. Once inside the system, contaminants are sent through a spark trap and captured within a fire-retardant Protura Nanofiber cartridge filter. W Series collectors are easy to operate and easy to clean. Systems are powered with a one-touch button using 115/1/60, and filter changes require no tools.

Extraction arm

United Air Specialists’ Model XA Extraction Arm stops the spread of fumes, smoke, dusts and other airborne pollutants. The Model XA arm provides suction due to its obstruction-free internal design and large bell-mouth hood. The hood captures contaminants at a larger distance from the source, resulting in cleaner air and few adjustments. The XA extraction arm is also extremely easy to position allowing for optimal placement at the source of generation, reducing the amount of contaminants entering the workers’ breathing zone.

Absorbent Mat

Designed to stick to almost any horizontal or vertical surface, the PIG Grippy Absorbent Mat stays put and won’t curl or bunch up while it soaks up slippery liquids. Ideal for both industrial and commercial settings, the Mat can substantially increase the coefficient of friction, which makes floors safer to walk on and reduces the chance of slips and falls. The PIG Grippy Absorbent Mat meets ANSI Standard B101 for a high-traction surface.  The Mat features a highly absorbent 8-layer meltblown polypropylene center and Zig Zag stitching to increase durability in heavy foot traffic.

Case Study Database

Get more exposure for your case study by uploading it to the Control Engineering case study database, where end-users can identify relevant solutions and explore what the experts are doing to effectively implement a variety of technology and productivity related projects.

These case studies provide examples of how knowledgeable solution providers have used technology, processes and people to create effective and successful implementations in real-world situations. Case studies can be completed by filling out a simple online form where you can outline the project title, abstract, and full story in 1500 words or less; upload photos, videos and a logo.
