Eaton’s solid-state C440 and XT electronic overload relays deliver motor protection with ground fault protection and communications capabilities. The relays are engineered to protect valuable assets, manage costs, and maintain system integrity. They directly monitor motor current in each phase and identify conditions that can lead to motor failure. Device status and fault indication appear on the LED display. The relays have a compact design for easy installation. Options include selectable trip class, ground fault detection, phase imbalance, and full-load current adjustment. The product can also be integrated into plant management systems and is Restriction of Hazardous Substances-compliant.
The PGR-6150 motor protection relay system from Littelfuse provides current- and temperature-based protection, metering, and data logging. The system is designed for low- to medium-horsepower three-phase motors in industrial environments and protects against overload, undercurrent, overcurrent, jam, overheating, phase loss, phase reverse, and phase unbalance. There are 13 protective functions that reduce or eliminate damage caused by electrical faults based on current and temperature inputs. The optional operator interface allows remote operation and field programming, and displays metered values. The product has a compact footprint and integrated current transformers. The wide adjustment range can accommodate different motor sizes and applications.
The Toshiba International Corp. P9 is an adjustable-speed drive for pump control. It incorporates virtual linear pump (VLP) technology to control pressure, temperature, or flow. The product linearizes the traditional pump curve, providing systems with variable pumping control. Users can configure the system in five steps, and the drive self-calibrates to eliminate common pump anomalies. The setup wizard guides the user through the process and can define operating boundaries by establishing a minimum and maximum VLP point. Protective features include start and stop points, sleep timer, run external devices feature, and sealing water/vacuum priming feature.
