Blackburn’s professional career began in 2002 as an intern with Hughes Assocs., and he continually works to learn various technical concepts in order to be an asset on all types of projects. Blackburn has made a priority of meeting new people, developing new clients, managing projects, and understanding all technical and business aspects of the consulting industry. Over the past 8 years as a project manager, he developed a large, diverse client base while continually growing project revenue each year and maintaining a high utilization rate. Current clients include higher education facilities, healthcare facilities, assisted living operators, trade associations, state agencies, architects, corporations, real estate developers, property management companies, and small business owners. He places equal importance on each client and each project, regardless of the size and scope. He also mentors younger engineers within the office. As a commissioner on the Rhode Island Fire Safety Code Board of Appeal and Review, he serves the public by ensuring the safety of building occupants and responding to firefighters. Outside of work, Blackburn loves spending time with his wife and two young daughters, and he enjoys watching his children’s extreme excitement and joy as they experience activities as simple as going to the playground and reading books. He and his family are avid fans of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
