Cahners Business Information is one of the largest providers of targeted business information in the world. We publish more than 130 publications in 19 markets, more than 200 directories and databases, and more than 100 websites and Internet communities. We represent the combination of businesses formerly under the Chilton Publishing, Reed Travel Group, and Cahners Publishing banners.

You may be wondering what this has to do with you. Business people today are coping with unprecedented change. The rules are unfamiliar. Competition is intensifying. Markets fragment. Currencies fluctuate. Product cycles shorten. New companies threaten established giants. The risks increase.

Our staff on Plant Engineering makes it our business to provide you with the critical, timely information you need to succeed in this environment. We watch technologies and trends so that we can bring you the ideas and guidance to help you in your decisions. Editorially, we put ideas into context, monitor trends, and add insights and facts. On the sales side, we encourage companies to keep you informed of their products and services through advertising. Overall, we try to anticipate your interests and provide the kind of information you need when you need it.

Our new logo is intended to reflect all of this.

- The Cahners logo is a symbol of our commitment to provide you with the information you need to make the right decisions about change in your professional life.

- The unique funnel shape of the graphic mark suggests our core product -- insight that has been funnelled, distilled, and filtered from the vast abundance of data to help you succeed.

- The crisp, contemporary design of the mark conveys our belief in a progressive, dynamic business environment.

- The colors imply an open, easy-to-work-with style.

On behalf of Cahners Business Information, we on Plant Engineering renew our pledge to be your partner in making change your ally, not your enemy. We appreciate the opportunity to help.
