Aaxeon industrial managed Gigabit Power over Ethernet switch

Aaxeon LNP-1002GN Lanolinx industrial Ethernet switch can power up to eight devices via Power over Ethernet (PoE). It has eight 10/100TX ports and two combo ports; combo ports can be 10/100/1000TX or Gigabit fiber using an SFP module (small form factor pluggable), allowing copper or fiber. This is a February 2010 Control Engineering North American print edition Product Exclusive.

Aaxeon LNP-1002GN Lanolinx industrial Ethernet switch can power up to eight devices via Power over Ethernet (PoE). The LNP-1002GN has eight 10/100TX ports and two combo ports. The combo ports can be 10/100/1000TX or Gigabit fiber using an SFP module (small form factor pluggable). This configuration provides flexibility for using fiber or copper ports for the uplink. Each of the eight 10/100TX ports supports the new IEEE 802.3af PoE standard and can provide up to 15 W at 48 V dc. This managed switch supports advanced features, such as port trunking, GVRP [GVRP stands for GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GARP is generic attribute registration protocol and VLAN, of course, is virtual local area network)], LLDP (link layer discovery protocol), in addition to standard management features link IGMP (Internet group management protoco), VLAN and QoS (quality of service). Another advanced feature is the Aaxeon proprietary Ethernet ring redundancy that supports a 20 ms recovery time. The standard model temperature range is -10unting for easy installation. LNP-1002GN will be available to ship in Q1 2010. www.aaxeon.com

Poll of the Week

Are your industrial networks well defended against cyber attacks?
Like Fort Knox. Solid defense in depth.
Well defended, I think, but not positive.
Working on it, but not there yet.
Few defenses, but who would find us?
We’re wide open, living on borrowed time.
