ABB adds greenhouse gas monitoring to process analyzer capabilities

Upgrades to the AO2000 Series continuous gas analyzer enable monitoring for CO2; options available for non-ABB analyzers.

ABB has released upgrade solutions for its

Advance Optima AO2000 Series continuous gas analyzers (CGA), which expand

monitoring capability to include CO2 green house gas (GHG) emissions

measurement to address expected U.S. EPA environmental compliance requirements.

These regulations will impact reporting

requirements for cement kilns, nitric acid plants, power generation,

incinerators, refineries and petrochemical plants.

ABB says its continuous gas analyzers

accurately measure emissions at very low levels to establish, maintain, and

prove compliance.

The company notes that its CO2 monitoring

upgrade options are available to meet site and application-specific

requirements. Upgrade options for non-ABB analyzers are also available upon

request. ABB provides new systems and

upgrades for existing continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) to include
