The Netzer DS-58 absolute position rotary encoder from Electromate is designed for many applications such as from space and avionics, military and defense, instrumentation, and automotive. The DS-58 features absolute or incremental position feedback providing analog or digital outputs. The encoders rely on interaction between the measured displacement and an internally shielded, space/time modulated, and an electric field. DS-58 features include 18-bit resolution, < 0.02° accuracy, analog Sin/Cos, Digital SSi, or Digital AqB+I outputs. It also has a hollow, floating shaft and no bearings or other contacting elements. It has analog or multiple digital interface options and is built to have a high tolerance to temperature, shock, moisture, EMI, RFI, and magnetic fields.
