December 30, 2013

Advantech has signed an agreement to acquire British intelligent display company GPEG Ltd. GPEG was established in London in 2005 to supply specialized application displays, especially designing and producing intelligent displays for the gaming industry.

After the merger, the British company’s original management team will remain unchanged and will join Advantech Embedded Core Computing Group under the name Advantech-GPEG. GPEG’s former CEO, Nick How, and sales director, Dave Webbing, will continue leading Advantech-GPEG, creating gaming and application-specific display markets for customers in various vertical industries.

Advantech will integrate GPEG’s product sales and design professionals with the combined resources of Innocore Gaming Ltd., which Advantech acquired in 2010. Founded in 1983, Advantech offers system integration, hardware, software, customer-centric design services, embedded systems, automation products, and global logistics support.
