XLe Series Operator Control Station (OCS) all-in-one controller is just 3.75-in. sq to fit in tight machine panels. Featuring a graphical operator interface and expandable I/O and networking capabilities, it also supports the latest standard in removable mass storage. The dime-sized memory, reportedly found only on video-enabled cellular phones to date, is available in densities from 128 MB to 1 GB and is designed for storing process data, machine recipes, and application files. Users can easily update XLe application programs through this memory device, allowing logic and screen updates to be made in one step with transportable media. High-quality graphical screen uses white LED backlighting for bright and crisp images.
XLe Series OCS from Horner APG packs multiple features into a small (3.75-in. sq) package.
XLe comes in four models with built-in digital, analog, and high-speed I/O connectivity ranging from 22-42 points. For machine control, high speed I/O provision can provide totalizing, frequency measurement, PWM generation, and pulse outputs. Universal analog I/O capability is suited for process control applications. High-resolution inputs can be configured for thermocouple, RTD, 4-20mA, +/-100 mV, and 0-10V signals. Each analog I/O channel is configured channel-by-channel. XLe memory structure supports more than 5,000 I/O points.
Dual RS-232/485 serial ports and an integrated CAN-based network (CsCAN) are standard. Ethernet and modem are optional. Field-installable communications include an internal 10/100 MBit Ethernet card that makes machine data and XLe programming accessible plant-wide or worldwide. XLe also offers an internal 57.6k telephone modem card and a 1W internal radio modem option card.
Cscape, the free software package provided with all Horner OCS products, allows the same machine programming to be applied across the product line. Prices start at $295. www.heapg.com Horner APG LLC
