Nord Gear Corp.’s Sealed Surface Conversion system (NSDtupH) is designed to protect aluminum alloy housings with a corrosion-resistant surface meant to be an alternative to stainless steel. It is approved for food applications and treated gearboxes are protected against cleaning agents. The systems is suitable for use in many harsh environments such as those found in the
chemical washdown, coastal, food & beverage, car wash, and pharmaceutical industries. The corrosion- and chip-resistant surface is designed to protect the gearboxes from scratches and blemishes as well as contamination. In harsh environments, the NSDtupH can be used without the service and maintenance costs associated with painted units. The gearbox program can also be customized for specification configurations and applications.
