Angle encoders can connect with controls
Heidenhain RCN 2000, 5000 and 8000 series encoders can connect with Fanuc controls. They also feature optimized scanning and evaluation electronics.
Heidenhain's absolute angle encoders have expanded their usage to include connection to Fanuc controls. Characterized by their simple mounting and high accuracy, these Heidenhain RCN 2000, 5000 and 8000 series encoders offer many advantages.
Often the encoder of choice when angle measurement in the accuracy range of a few angular seconds is required, the RCN angle encoders offer users greater mounting tolerances than ever before, optimized scanning and evaluation electronics with diagnostic functions, plug-in cables with quick disconnect at the encoder, and a variety of hollow shaft diameters. In addition, the RCN encoders permit positive fastening, provided that the "front end shaft coupling" mounting mode is used.
Already of use with Heidenhain's EnDat interface, these RCN encoders can now be obtained with the Fanuc interface, making it possible to obtain reliable position and speed control in more rotational axes applications, such as on rotary tables, tilting axes and direct drives.
