AS-Interface accessories use easy connection technology
Pepperl+Fuchs introduces G10 AS-Interface Accessories with “connect and done” technology. Lower profile design and significantly simplified mounting and connectivity provide big benefits in tight spaces.
Pepperl+Fuchs introduces G10 AS-Interface Accessories. These IP69K washdown rated splitters and network terminator take up 6% less space than the previous design, enabling them to fit within the smallest spaces. They also feature Connect and Done technology to eliminate mounting requirements in many applications and significantly simplify mounting in others.
One of the new models provides the standard flat cable connection for both AS-Interface and auxiliary power and includes two M12 round cable connections. This enables two devices to be split off from one accessory, using less than half the space of traditional splitters. G10 AS-Interface accessories include mounting holes in the base, a plastic cover with clearly visible wiring instruction and a pass-through auxiliary flat cable tray for all AS-Interface splitters. G10 AS-Interface accessories follow the latest AS-Interface specification 3.0.
Pepperl+Fuchs uses high-quality, machined, gold-plated piercing contacts that, unlike cheap stamped and zinc-coated alternatives, provide superior long-term contact stability without damaging the internal strands of the AS-Interface cable. Placed around each of the piercing contacts is a concentric seal contour that provides high seal contact pressure, a main contributor to the reliable IP68/69K protection, even after many years of service.
