Automation industry: B&R lauded by China, expands in Spain

B&R Industrial Automation Corp. is making news internationally with a new Spanish subsidiary and an award from the China Packaging Machinery Association.


Roswell, GAB&R Industrial Automation Corp . is making news internationally with a new Spanish subsidiary and an award from the China Packaging Machinery Association. B&R, an automation supplier based in Austria, gained a foothold on the Iberian Peninsula with the founding of its 20th subsidiary, in Barcelona. This increases B&R's presence to 140 offices in 55 countries. The new subsidiary will be headed by Ramon Diaz. Spanish B&R customers will benefit from a network of sales and technology support that includes more than 25 automation experts working in three regions. The Barcelona office will coordinate their efforts.

Separately, the China Packaging Machinery Industrial Association and Ringier Trade Publishing Ltd. honored B&R for providing one of the "20 most innovative technologies in the Chinese packaging industry." A committee of experts awarded B&R for groundbreaking technologies in the packaging industry. In the food and beverage sector, B&Rsolutions are based on functions such as the virtual axes and cam profiles in Acopos servo drives, which can achieve high-precision multi-axis synchronization, thereby greatly improving the speed and precision of the machine s on which they're used. In addition, modular programming makes it possible to switch easily among technical processes, which lowers project configuration times for new machines.
