Automation integrators in the new Control Engineering Automation Integrator Guide were recently asked to identify the industries they serve from among 77 choices. The top five industries served by automation system integrators are:

Food and beverage: 54%

Continuous and batch processing: 51%

Chemicals and petrochemicals: 46%

Material handling: 44%

Pharmaceuticals: 42%
