Cumming, Ga.— Automationdirect.com has forged a product development relationship with AVG (Autotech/Viktron Group, Carol Stream, Ill.) to offer a new line of operator touch panels. Six new EZTouch operator panels are available in 6", 8" and 10" sizes, priced from $399 to $1,699. "This new relationship with AVG allows us to offer innovative products with superior features that sell for well below the prices of other operator panels," says Tim Hohmann, founder and company captain of Automation direct.com.

Five of the EZTouch panels come with 512K of battery-backed RAM, which can be upgraded to 1Mb with removable flash memory cards. The panels also feature alt-in clock and calendar, recipe functionality, screen password protection, and sixteen levels of undo and redo. An optional Ethernet card can be installed in five of the EZTouch panels.

Configuration software, priced at $109, offers online editing. The software also offers a library of 2,000 bitmapped graphical images, and high-speed vector-based objects that can be scaled to almost any size without distortion. Each can be dynamically triggered by the PLC. Numerous variations of objects such as buttons, meters and trend graphs can be configured. Large label fields for each object can be configured in up to nine languages, allowing each operator to view objects in their own language. Tag names up to 40 characters are allowed.

Automationdirect.com, previously named PLCDirect, sells over 2,000 products through its Online Automation Superstore and 1,000-page catalog. www.automationdirect.com . Automationdirect.com
