AW acquires flowmeter manufacturer KEM

Franksville, WI—AW Co. recently purchased a controlling interest in Kuppers Elektromechanik GmbH (KEM, Karlsfled, Germany). KEM manufactures flow metering and monitoring products, such as positive displacement gear and turbine flowmeters.

Franksville, WI— AW Co. recently purchased a controlling interest in Kuppers Elektromechanik GmbH (KEM, Karlsfled, Germany). KEM manufactures flow metering and monitoring products, such as positive displacement gear and turbine flowmeters. Its other products include mass coriolis, thermal mass and vortex flowmeters.

Together the partners have a total of 100 employees. They will continue to operate separately, but plan to cooperate on new product design and development. AW adds that its joint venture with KEM will give both a worldwide presence. KEM currently has distribution channels throughout Europe and Asia, while AW has distribution in North and South America.
