Dual Star VXS backplane features 20 slots. VME switched serial device includes two hub slots and 18 payload slots and comes in an 18-layer controlled-impedance stripline design. A low dielectric Nelco PCB material improves signal performance, controls impedance, and minimizes crosstalk. Backplanes are compliant to the Vita 38 system management and Vita 1.7 increased current specifications. VMX switched serial standard is backward-compatible to VME/VME64x. It uses a 6.4 Gbps high-speed connector across the PO section of a VE64x backplane, allowing use of switched fabric signals for higher bandwidth and reliability. www.elmabustronic.com Elma Bustronic Corp.
