Bearing isolator for flooded, oil mist applications

The environmentally friendly EnDuro, a bearing isolator from Garlock Sealing Technologies, LLC, features a biconcave surface incorporated within a fluorocarbon stator to provide long-life and reliable bearing protection.

Garlock Sealing Technologies, LLC. launched a new environmentally friendly Bearing Isolator designed for flooded and oil mist applications. The Garlock EnDuro design core features a unique and patent pending biconcave surface incorporated within a Garlock Sealing Technologies proprietary fluorocarbon stator which provides long-life and reliable bearing protection. The Garlock EnDuro is reportedly the first seal to prevent the loss of potential environmentally harmful bearing lubrication, while also preventing contamination ingress in flooded or oil mist environments.

“Garlock Sealing Technologies continues to develop sealing technology and the EnDuro is proof: a revolutionary seal like no other,” says Earl Rogalski, senior product manager for Garlock Sealing Technologies. He adds: “The EnDuro incorporates three very different, and patent pending sealing technologies into one compact and self-contained design. The result is a bearing isolator that keeps potential environmentally harmful bearing lubrication in and prevents contamination from entering the bearing system at the same time preventing costly equipment wear.”

Rogalski adds, “Garlock Sealing Technologies is an upstate New York leader for environmental excellence and our recent Environmental Excellence Award from the State Department of Environmental Conservation is proof that we take our environment seriously. The development of the EnDuro is a result of our continued persistence to ensure that generations will have a clean and productive future.”

Garlock EnDuro bearing isolators are designed to quickly and easily replace contact lip seals and traditional bearing isolators used throughout industry. The Garlock EnDuro is available in shaft sizes ranging from 0.875” to over 6”, with flanged, flangeless and custom configurations offered.
