Minneapolis, Minn. Beckhoff is expanding its North American direct sales and support force and simultaneously terminating its commercial relationship with distributor Interlink BT. Beckhoff now directly and exclusively provides all products and services, configuration support, and application engineering. The company says it will honour warranty to all existing product users. The company is expanding to seven local offices located in Minneapolis, Minn., Chicago, Ill., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Columbus, O., Raleigh, N.C., Birmingham, Ala., and Yuma, Ariz.

At the same time, the company is introducing improvements to the existing BusTerminal line, including KL9020/9050 Bus Terminal Extension that expands BusTerminals over more than one terminal row, 4 Channel analog input and output terminals, 2 Channel analog input and output terminals with enhanced 16 bit resolution, 8 Channel digital IO terminals, and BK7500 SERCOS network coupler for 16 MHz operation.

Beckhoff manufactures and supplies worldwide a broad range of products such as industrial PCs, industrial I/O modules, fieldbus scanner cards, drives, and automation software for real-time PLC and motion control applications.

With over 500 employees and distribution in 30 countries on 5 continents, Beckhoff has sold worldwide more than 5.000 automation software licenses and totalled a revenue of more than $90 million US.
