Irvine, Calif. — According to Stanley Electric, its advanced Model 1211F Series sets a new standard for cost-effectiveness and manufacturing efficiency by offering two diodes in a single compact package. Bi-color capacity creates exceptional brightness for edge-lighting, while reducing component count and conserving valuable PCB space. It also simplifies the manufacturing process-having two diodes in one package eliminates the need for picking, placing, soldering, and cleaning two separate components to achieve the same lighting capacity. The product also reduces the total number of soldering contacts required for edge-lighting on the circuit board, which greatly enhances reliability. With dimensions of 3.0 x 2.0 x 1.0 in., designers of portable instrumentation with edge indicators can use the product to control form factor size.
