Proficy Enterprise Connnector 1.5 provides bidirectional enterprise integration between Proficy and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP. An extension of Proficy Plant Applications integrated suite of production management solutions, the product is said to provide real-time capability to help make quicker, more informed business decisions. It enables the mapping of external business system requests to and from Proficy information architecture and leverages the ISA-95 standard to define the interface between an enterprise's business and manufacturing systems through the XML-based B2MML (business to manufacturing markup language) schema. It also automatically generates B2MML schemas and message types for immediate use in orchestrations and mapping.
