Lexington, KY— Bosch Rexroth Corp. ’s pneumatic division has developed a complete new pneumatic valve manifold system for washdown applications. Clean Line’s features include hygienic design and high-protection class.

In the food processing and packaging industries, there is a need for valve systems featuring hygienic design, the ability to withstand aggressive detergents and chemicals, and high protection class. A high degree of modularity and flexibility also are essential requirements for these applications. The company reports that its Clean Line, Series CL03, meets all of these needs.

Series CL03 valve system has an IP69K protection class rating for high-pressure washdown up to 1,450 psi. Users benefit by not having to use a protective cabinet, and from improved system performance by having valves mounted closer to the actuators. With a high flow of up to 0.85 Cv, these valves can perform a wide variety of tasks. Users can choose from multi-pin connection or use serial communication options for major protocols, which allow the use of Bosch Rexroth’s advanced diagnostic capabilities.

In addition, gaps between the valve protection covers allow easy cleaning, as well as prevent dirt pockets. The materials, such as the polyamide used for the sub-bases and covers, are carefully selected and tested for chemical resistance.

CL03 consists of individual sub-bases in inch or ISO-G ports. Because each sub-base has its own integrated circuit card, the system can be expanded up to 16 valves in single valve increments. Since each valve can be individually supplied with two different pressures, one valve system can handle up to 32 different pressures, enabling optimal pressure to be used for each actuator.

Also, factory assembled and tested valve manifolds are available, and custom manifolds can be configured on-line at www.boschrexroth-us.com. The valves are identical to those in the successful HF03 series. This means that all of the valve functions available, such as 5/2, 5/3 and 2×3/2, are available. The serial communication system is also identical to the Bus Direct used in the HF03.
