Portescap’s Athlonix DCP high power density brush DC mini motors are available in a 16 mm diameter and in two variations, precious metal commutation and graphite commutation. Both variations feature an Alnico magnet inside. The 16DCP motor features an energy efficient coreless design with a self-supporting coil and magnetic circuit. A restriction of electro erosion coil is an available option, which ensures long life of the motor and provides an environment of intrinsic safety at high speed conditions. With maximum continuous torque of 2.63 mNm Athlonix 16DCP motors are suited for use in applications such as medical and industrial pumps, gas analyzers, security and access, and power tools. Mini motors are powered by a self-supporting coil resulting into maximized magnetic flux and ampere-turns for a given diameter. RoHS compliant, Athlonix motors are available with encoders and gearheads of various sizes and ratios.
