Build facilities management supervisory applications quickly

New Wonderware software provides library of templates and graphics for facilities application development.

At the ARC Conference in Orlando, FL, this month, Wonderware introduced Industry Application for Facilities Management, part of its Wonderware Industry Solutions for Facilities Management offerings. The software enables more efficient management of facility operations by providing a library of templates, graphics, faceplates and symbols for facilities application development. Using open standards and an open distribution model, the software also gives facilities managers a “consistent supervisory technology solution that enables competitive bids for the control layer," said John Bishop, Wonderware industry manager.

Wonderware Industry Application for Facilities Management provides the basic application services needed for an open and modern facilities monitoring system," said Bishop. Because the software uses open industry standards, all systems, devices and assets within facilities can be modeled as templates.

The facilities management solution also is provided through an open distribution model, which is supported by multiple independent systems integrators.rom the hardware, providing the capability to upgrade each software component separately as technology changes and customer needs evolve," he said.
