Burns & McDonnell names director of commissioning services

Burns & McDonnell has hired Brian Lindstrom as its director of commissioning services.

Brian Lindstrom, PE, DCEP, has joined Burns & McDonnell as Director of Commissioning Services. Lindstrom will be responsible for national expansion of Burns & McDonnell’s existing commissioning services. He is based in Chicago and will be working with all of Burns & McDonnell’s practice groups nationwide.

Lindstrom has extensive experience leading integrated teams responsible for commissioning complex HVAC, controls, electrical, fire, life safety, information technology, security, building envelope and power systems.

With more than 17 years of commissioning experience, Lindstrom has worked on numerous high profile projects throughout the U.S. and overseas, including the Microsoft Global Data Center Program, Sprint Corporation World Headquarters campus, U.S. Centers for Disease Control laboratories and central utility plants, the new World Trade Center transportation hub in New York, international airport renovations in Houston and San Diego, U.S. Air Force bases in Alaska, U.S. Army medical facilities in Germany and antiterrorism bio-safety laboratories in the Middle East.

Lindstrom is a registered professional engineer in Kansas and Missouri and holds a Data Center Energy Practitioner certification from the U.S. Department of Energy. He also holds an EPA Section 608 Certification from the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 from Kansas State University.
