Teledyne Dalsa's 16k models of the Piranha XL CMOS TDI line scan series are designed for integration into flat panel, electronics, and semiconductor inspection applications. Courtesy: Teledyne DalsaTeledyne Dalsa's 16k models of the Piranha XL CMOS TDI (time delay and integration) line scan series feature an extended dynamic range, strong signal-to-noise ratio and strong performance in a wide range of lighting conditions. The TDI technology, delivers unprecedented speed and responsivity with low noise in a compact design. Other features include a signal-to-noise ratio ensures better detection of smaller defects in various lighting conditions. High speed and high resolution provides the Piranha XL with faster throughput. Its strong responsivity (up to 1,200 DN/njcm2 in 12 bit at 1x gain) provides increased sensitivity in light starved conditions and lower lighting costs. The Piranha XL models are designed for integration into flat panel, electronics, and semiconductor inspection applications. When combined with Teledyne DALSA's Xtium-CLHS frame grabber, system designers can expect reduced inspection and manufacturing costs and the transfer of information at extreme speeds.
