DNA-CAN-503 controller area network (CAN) bus interface adds four channels of CAN bus interface to UEI’s Ethernet-based PowerDNA data acquisition cube. Each channel is isolated from the PowerDNA cube and other channels to ensure noise immunity and system protection. UEIDAQ Framework software (included) provides an interface to all popular programming languages and DAQ application packages. Support for Linux, QNX, and other real-time operating systems also is provided. Card meets physical and electrical requirements for in-vehicle (automotive) networks based on CAN and can be used for automotive testing and diagnostics, prototype design, factory automation, and machine control. Data transfer rates up to 1 Mbit/s are possible at network lengths less than 40 m; longer networks are supported at reduced transfer rates.
