Capacitive sensor has teach button for easier setup
The CM12 capacitive sensor by Sick has teach button settings for normal and sensitive operations, allowing it to be used for a variety of critical applications.
Sick's CM12 capacitive sensor is enclosed in an M12 threaded housing and includes a two-point teach button. The two-point teach button has settings for normal and sensitive operations for a variety of applications. The teach option allows the sensor to "learn" the target. In addition, flush and non-flush mounting options as well as automatic PNP/NPN detection are available in a single housing, reducing inventory stock and costs.
The CM12 also includes an integrated humidity compensation feature that reduces false trips and switching errors caused by sensitivity to water or humidity. With these intelligent functions and a long sensing range of up to 8 mm, the CM12 can be used for detection tasks in the commercial goods, machine building, and electronic, and solar industries.
