Carlo Gavazzi’s ultrasonic sensors measure distance, detect objects

Buffalo Grove, IL— Carlo Gavazzi Automation Components reports that its new UA Series ultrasonic sensors are designed for distance measurement and object detection in harsh environments. For example, UA’s range includes both M18 and M30 housings.

Discrete output types are available for presence and absence detection, and are suited for detecting objects that cannot be detected by other sensors, such as transparent objects. Analog output types are available for applications requiring a measurement of the target object, such as detecting the level of fluid in a tank. The analog models have 0-10 V dc or 4-20 mA outputs.

More advanced models incorporate teach functions, which allow set-points to be configured by pushing a button, and Windows-based software for applications where greater control of sensor parameters and variables is required. The Windows version also allows settings to be saved and downloaded to multiple sensors.
