Worcester CPT characterized seat control valve from Flowserve Corp. is said to provide reliable operation and precise valve positioning under critical throttling conditions. CPT ball valve series is applicable in systems that control steam pressure or pH levels, operate in low temperature cryogenic conditions or up to 1000 °F (538 °C), and meet EPA and OSHA specifications for containing toxic chemicals. Product is FM-approved for fuel gas safety shutoff service and flow control. Patented seat technology is made from self-lubricated, full-contact sintered stainless steel, impregnated with TFE or graphite. Seats come in several standard equal-percentage “V” shapes or linear-characteristic slots, and with customized characteristics.
