Johnson Controls has added the Quantum LX control panel to its York model CYK chillers. The control panel meets the needs for heat pumps, water chilling, radiators, ice thermal storage, and process cooling. It features a touch-screen interface and multiple language support. In addition, the virtual human machine interface (HMI) allows the user to access panel information remotely. The panel’s flash memory requires no battery backup. Software versions can be upgraded using a USB flash drive. It can store historic data at longer intervals and allows the user to freeze screens for troubleshooting. Diagnostic features include a protocol analyzer, I/O boards, and data capture.
