Cognex Corp. recently launched its Certified Vision Integrator (CVI) program in North America. The program provides training, sales and marketing materials; software updates; and special pricing for CVIs. Customers benefit because the program ensures local, technical expertise from Cognex-certified system integrators.

“Cognex CVIs are among the most highly skilled vision experts in the world. Our regional CVI training classes and online courses equip CVIs with the knowledge they need to solve problems quickly, deploy systems faster, and serve their customers better,” says Kris Nelson, Cognex’s North American sales VP. “The program also opens new windows of opportunity for our CVIs. As the leading supplier of vision systems and sensors throughout the world, Cognex is often the first to be contacted with new applications. Our network of CVIs can take part in that.”

The CVI program gives integrators and their customers access to what Cognex reports is the industry’s most robust machine vision software and product family, which spans the technology’s full range from vision sensors to PC-based vision systems. CVIs also have access to the private Cognex CVI Website, which provides technical reference materials, product information, presentations, on-line support and education, and CVI program updates in one location.
