Compact 90-degree hybrid microwave couplers
Hybrid microwave couplers from Krytar cover ultra broadband frequency from 1.4 GHz to 26.5 GHz.
Krytar Inc. announces two new 90-degree hybrid couplers each delivering 3 dB of coupling over the broadband frequency range of 1.4 GHz to 26.5 GHz and 1.7 GHz to 26.5 GHz in compact packages.
Krytar hybrid couplers are designed to perform many functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications. Krytar’s new hybrid coupler Model 3014265 delivers excellent versatility from 1.4 to 26.5 GHz with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include Amplitude Imbalance: ±1.2 dB; Phase Imbalance is ±12 degrees; Isolation is >12 dB; Maximum VSWR: 1.80; Insertion Loss is <3.0 dB. Model 3017265 also delivers excellent versatility from 1.7 to 26.5 GHz with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include Amplitude Imbalance: ±1.5 dB; Phase Imbalance is ±10 degrees; Isolation is >14 dB; Maximum VSWR: 1.85; Insertion Loss is <3.4 dB.
Krytars’s new hybrid couplers join an expanding family of 90 degree couplers offering wide frequency coverage in single packages that provide superior low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. These new hybrid couplers lends themselves to emerging wireless broadband designs and many test and measurement applications. The new couplers can also be manufactured to meet military specifications.
Each of the hybrid couplers handle 20 watts of average power and 3 kW of peak power with an operating temperature of -54C to +85C. Model 3014265 measures only 2.62 inches (L) x 1.00 inches (W) x 0.40 inches (H), and weighs just 2.0 ounces. Model 3017265 measures 2.60 inches (L) x 0.625 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), and weighs just 1.6 ounces. SMA female connectors are standard and N-type female connectors are optional on both models. These new couplers are available from stock to 30 days, ARO.
