Compact modular fuse holders released

Cooper Bussman's CH series of modular fuse holders are reportedly designed for solar power installations and can be integrated with a PLC

08/15/2011

Cooper Bussmann announced the CH Series of compact modular fuse holders is available, offering several key features that make the CH Series suitable for a wide range of electrical systems requiring Class CC or Midget fuse protection. They also reportedly have a SCCR rating of up to 200kA.

Cooper Bussmann modular fuse holders feature a version rated up to 1000Vdc to the latest UL 4248-18 PV fuse holder standard for use in solar power installations using Cooper Bussmann 10x38mm Solar PV fuses. The CH Series is also rated to accept up to #4AWG wire, standard 6mm comb bus bar terminals, spade terminals, 90°C and 70°C rated wire as well as fine stranded wire. The compact fuse holders feature an open fuse indicator, and a 4mm lockout feature in the fuse carrier. They also reportedly offer toolless ganging of multiple poles and toolless DIN rail mounting, saving time and labor onsite. With a captive, fully backed out phil-slot screw and a 6mm wire clamp lug, Cooper Bussmann modular fuse holders simplify installation and reduce maintenance in the electrical system.

“We are constantly striving to offer high performance products that meet our customers’ wide ranging needs,” said Cooper Bussmann president Ivo Jurek. “Our line of modular fuse holders offer the industry’s best ratings with advanced features that allow our customers to be confident the CH Series will meet their electrical system needs effectively and efficiently.”

The launch of the Cooper Bussmann CH Series of modular fuse holders reportedly includes a complete range of UL-listed and high SCCR rated single-phase and three-phase finger-safe comb bus bars that simplify wiring, save panel space and enhance safety. The line provides customers with pre-configured lengths of bus bars or a flexible system with cut-to-length solutions that eliminate the use of power distribution blocks. Cooper Bussmann also offers a resettable three-phase remote fuse monitor that integrates with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or other monitoring equipment.
