Compact variable frequency drives for 0.25 hp to 3.0 hp motors

A range of Carlo Gavazzi variable frequency ac motor drives is suitable for general-purpose motor applications from 0.25 hp to 3.0 hp.


Carlo Gavazzi released the Variflex2RVEF Series, a range of variable frequency ac motor drives suitable for general-purpose motor applications from 0.25 hp to 3.0 hp.

According to the company, the drives provide features usually available on larger drives, including an easy to use setup feature available through the front touch pad or a PC-based software tool.

Variflex2RVEF drives are available in two frame sizes covering main supply voltages (110 / 230 V ac single-phase or 230/480 V ac three-phase). Internal thermal management has been optimized to allow side-by-side installation without performance derating in temperatures up to +50 °C (+122 °F). Other features include sensorless vector of V/F control; manual speed setting by touchpad or knob; an extensive list of motor protection features; multifunction digital output; external breaking units and EMC filters; and DIN-rail or back-panel mounting.
