Companies collaborate on IoT for device to cloud services

Advantech announced that it is collaborating with Intel, Microsoft, ARM, and IBM to create Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that cover device to cloud services.

Advantech announced at its Embedded IoT Partner Summit that it is collaborating with Intel, Microsoft, ARM, and IBM to create Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that cover device to cloud services. During the Summit, Advantech showcased the latest Embedded IoT solutions as well as demonstrated the Industrie 4.0 concept in its new IoT Campus manufacturing center. The cooperation and collaboration between Advantech and Intel, Microsoft, ARM and IBM is intended to accelerate deployment of the IoT and complete the process of device to cloud IoT solutions. The collaboration is designed for predictive maintenance, asset management, and other advanced analytics.

KC Liu, Advantech CEO, said, “We have positioned the Advantech Embedded-IoT Group as a Sharing Platform Business Model to develop the four sharing platforms, which include Wise-PaaS/Wise-Point, the embedded OS, third party peripherals, and modules and design-in eco partners. The Advantech Embedded-IoT Group will continue to focus on the development of edge intelligence servers (EIS) and release a neutral e-commerce platform, the IoTMart, to expand its platform-sharing values and execute the go-to-market sector."
