The two-day technical conference presented during National Manufacturing Week provides professional and development opportunities that give insights into the technologies and solutions of the 21st century.

To facilitate the educational effort, the program is divided into six tracks for different industry sectors. The tracks are Plant Engineering, Design Engineering, Design for Manufacturing, Automation & Control, E-Tooling for Manufacturing, and E-Business for Manufacturers.

In addition, three general keynote sessions will be available free of charge to all Show attendees. On Monday, March 5, 8:00 - 9:00 a.m., Steve Ward, General Manager, Global Industrial Sector, IBM Corp., will discuss how the accelerating worldwide impact of e-business and the new network economy require manufacturing companies to continually transform themselves. His presentation is entitled "Global Customer Partnerships in the Industrial Sector."

John Stossel, ABC news correspondent, headlines the Tuesday session. His presentation on "Freedom and Its Enemies" will look at liberty, American heroes, fear of technology, and safety regulations.

On Wednesday, March 7, Joseph Clayton, President and CEO, Global Crossing, North America, will discuss "Doing Business in the New E-conomy." The speaker will explore the latest figures on the expected growth of e-commerce, and discuss how the entire business world is heading towards a future of operating on the internet.
