Contactor series for military, commercial aircraft applications

TE Connectivity’s (TE) (NYSE: TEL) Hartman KD400 series contactor is designed for 28 Vdc power systems in commercial and military aircraft as well as ground vehicle applications. With two separate sets of main contacts, the KD400 series contactor offers the flexibility to be configured to control two separate circuits. With an external jumper, the contactor can be configured as a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) main contact to switch power between two different loads or provide two alternate sources to one load. Each contact set is fully rated for 400A continuously and 4000A rupture. The unit features electronic economizing and is available with up to 3 SPDT auxiliary contact sets rated up to 5 Amp each. Additionally, the KD400 series contactor will be available in bus bar mounting configuration or chassis mounting configuration. The series has also been designed to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-6106.
