Control Engineering launches online “e-book” collection of Back to Basics tutorials

Oak Brook, IL—Control Engineering has compiled and published its first interactive, online “e-book.” This new electronic publication, Back to Basics 2000-2001, includes all of the 24 instructive Back to Basics department articles published in Control Engineering’s print editions in 2000-01.

Oak Brook, IL—Control Engineering has compiled and published its first interactive, online “e-book.” This new electronic publication, Back to Basics 2000-2001 , includes all of the 24 instructive Back to Basics department articles published in Control Engineering ’s print editions in 2000-01. Topics covered in the book include:

Ziegler-Nichols’ closed-loop tuning method;

Motion control amplifiers;

Rotary encoders;

Noise and disturbance issues in process control;

Essentials of structured PLCs, and

How to avoid tubing failures.

The e-book format allows these Back to Basics articles to be presented unabridged, in the form in which they were originally published. In addition, all Web links mentioned in the articles are now live, which means that readers can click through directly to visit the Web sites referenced.
