Control Engineering wins ASBPE award for editorial excellence

Oak Brook, Ill. – Control Engineering and Control Engineering Online received an award on June 4 for editorial excellence from the Midwest Region of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (Naperville, Ill.) at its 24th Annual Editorial and Graphics Excellence Awards.

A gold award was presented for best technical article in publications with 80,000 or more circulation to ” Why Not Wireless ?” the October 2001 cover story in Control Engineering by Jim Montague, news editor.

More than 2,000 entries were received for editorial and graphics work published in 2001 across ASBPE’s four national regions. Editorial judging is based on quality of writing, development of the subject, presentation, and value to the reader, among other criteria, according to ASBPE.
