In the March 2003 issue of Control Engineering, I wrote an article titled “ Get safe: Prepare for Security Intrusion .”

In that article I outlined a means for strengthening control system security against cyber-attacks. A lot of the article content came from conversations with Larry Falkenau of DuPont Engineering.

Now you have a chance to attend a Web seminar where Larry Falkenau and Tom Good, also with DuPont, present a methodology for assessing the security posture of integrated manufacturing computer systems with the intent of identifying security vulnerabilities. They also will provide recommendations for mitigating risk and the status of industry and government initiatives aimed at keeping systems safe from attack.

Attendance at the November 12th seminar is free for World Batch Forum (WBF) members, but costs only $50 for non-members.

Visit the WBF website for more information. Follow the site’s link to WBF’s secure registration page.
