Fieldserver Technologies’ SlotServer ControlLogix Communications Interface brings together building automation/fire alarm control systems and process control systems. In many industrial facilities it is necessary to interface between building controls and process plant controls. According to the company process control devices such as PLCs and PACs are being used for control in industrial and commercial buildings. Features of the SlotServer interface include a standard 1756 format that plugs directly into the Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley ControlLogix rack; BACnet BBMD-supported 10BaseT IP connection; status LEDs; trade port for advanced troubleshooting; LonMark-certified, BACnet-tested, Metasys-compatible; and a BACnet PIC statement is available.
