Coriolis transmitter for net oil measurement applications
Schneider Electric's NOCT60A Foxboro Net Oil Coriolis Transmitter is an all-in-one Coriolis meter and flow computer designed to measure net oil volumes on the liquid leg of two-phase separators or the oil leg of three-phase separators.
Schneider Electric's NOCT60A Foxboro Net Oil Coriolis Transmitter is an all-in-one Coriolis meter and flow computer designed to provide net oil measurement applications. The Net Oil Coriolis Transmitter consists of a Foxboro CFT51 Coriolis transmitter plus a CFS10, CFS20, or CFS25 mass flowtube. The transmitter integrates Coriolis technology with a built-in flow computer equipped with Realflo software to measure net oil volumes on the liquid leg of two-phase separators or the oil leg of three-phase separators.
The transmitter is capable of solving common problems associated with the measurement of production fluids, including incomplete separation and gas carry-under, and of detecting adverse conditions such as fluid erosion, corrosion, and flowtube coating. The digital Coriolis flowmeter utilizes patented digital signal processing (DSP) techniques that enable continuous two-phase measurement, partial empty-tube conditions, online flowtube verification, and online pressure compensation. User configurable I/O types include analog current output and alarm frequency or scaled pulse output, contact output, and contact input.
The NOCT60A can also communicate with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) host systems using Modbus protocols. The transmitter also incorporates a programmable logic controller (PLC), giving users the option to extend or enhance built-in transmitter capabilities using PLC-style logic. Potential applications include Modbus polling of external devices, grouping of real-time measurement data to improve host polling efficiency, interaction with local operator interface terminals, or customized gas-detection logic for optimizing liquid flow measurements.
