Corrections & Clarifications

• The in-print synopsis [“Modular VFD with cell bypass eliminates interruptions,’ Online, CE, Jan.’02, p. 12] of the full-text online version incorrectly listed the location of Marathon Ashland Petroleum’s refinery. The correct location is Robinson, Ill.

• A page reference on the cover of CE, Feb.’02, gave an incorrect reference for “Exclusive: Intellution releases InfoAgent.” The item is located on p. 43.

• The “Megatrends in Motion Control” special supplement, produced by Design News and Control Engineering in this issue, has a four-page “Introduction” written by Frank J. Bartos, Control Engineering , and John Lewis, Design News . Two pages of additional results and analysis from Frank Bartos also appear starting on p. 41 of this issue of CE . Each of these two articles, along with analysis from editors and other industry experts, is based on reader research conducted by Cahners Research, and was fully independent of the supplement’s sponsors. Other articles in the supplement, following the introduction, should have been labeled as “Advertorial.”

• In a recent Technology Update article, “Use Microsoft Excel as a report writer,” CE, Feb. ’02, p. 12, reported an incorrect web address for SyTech (Walpole, Mass.). The company’s correct web address is www.sytech.com .
